• FAMILY: A prominent anti-violence activist family in Northern Mexico says it has become the object of a chase by criminals that has forced one of its members to flee into Arizona. Yesterday, the LeBarón family said it holds Mexico’s federal government accountable for any attack they may suffer.

• EXILE: Leading demonstrations against criminality, the LeBarón family said yesterday that one of his most well-known members, Julián, had to leave its community in Chihuahua, recently because of his leadership in asking for justice in the case of the November 4th massacre from last year.

• PERSECUTION: “Right now we are under strong security. Julian is not with us right now because he was advised to leave (the country) for a little while. I need the government to know that we are being persecuted”, said Adrián LeBarón during an anti-violence demonstration in the central state of Puebla.

• MASSACRE: With some assistance from the US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) to the Mexican government probe, the LeBarón family has been at the forefront, demanding justice for the culprits in the massacre that killed 3 women and 6 children in a rural road in northwestern Sonora.
