• EPIDEMIC: Mexican health authorities reported today that the country’s coronavirus death toll has surpassed the 14,000 mark. Moreover, Mexican health authorities believe that epidemic curves in 17 out of 32 Mexican states are still on the rise.

• NUMBERS: As of late Monday, Mexico has officially reported 120,102 coronavirus cases and 14,053 deaths. Mexico City accounts for a 26% share of total confirmed cases. The neighboring state of State of Mexico follows in second place with a 15% share of cases.

• CURVES: “In those (states) that have (an incidence rate growth) above 20% it means that they have had quite a significant growth compared to last week. Those are still (states) where very probably their epidemic curve is rising”, said Mexico’s epidemiology chief, José Luis Alomía

• LIST: According to data presented by health authorities today, among the 17 Mexican states where the coronavirus incidence rate has increased above 20% are: the northern state of Durango (297% growth) along with the central states of Jalisco (190% growth) and Guanajuato (132% growth).
