• CORONAVIRUS: Mexican health authorities are investigating five new potential cases of the new deadly coronavirus in the states of Jalisco, Michoacán and Mexico City after a 42 year-old man who visited China presented some respiratory illness symptoms.

• DIAGNOSIS: “None of the suspicious cases show serious symptoms. The case management has been symptomatic”, Mexico’s Ministry of Health in a press release adding that the two other cases involved a 37-year-old woman and a 2-year-old child who interacted with the main patient.

• DISCARDED: Yesterday, Mexico said that a university professor in the city of Reynosa in the Northern state of Tamaulipas tested negative for coronavirus after several days in isolation. So far, Mexican authorities have deployed passenger monitoring in Mexico’s international airports.

• TEPATITLÁN: “We are keeping protection as with any other viral activity, use of surgical masks and handwashing”, a physician in a local hospital in the town of Tepatitlán in Jalisco said. It will be until Friday when they will hold meetings to get information about the new coronavirus.
