• GROWTH: Stocks of the three key airports operators saw robust gains in 2019 outperforming the 4.6% growth that Mexican Stock Exchange IPC index experienced last year based on a strong growth in the passenger traffic that Mexico is experiencing in recent years.

• STOCKS: In 2019, stocks of Grupo Aeroportuario Centro Norte (OMA) increased 51.4% in value while stocks of Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico (PAC) grew 42.8% in value and Grupo Aeroportuario del Sureste (ASUR) increased 19.5% in value, according to market data.

• FORECAST: According to José Espitia, an analyst at Banorte Análisis y Estrategia, the 3 Mexican airports operators will see an average growth in total passengers of 7.2% in 2020. Growth in total passengers in 2019 (January to November) is estimated at 6.6% on average

• MONITOR: “Although (there will be a) good performance of tourism (mainly national tourism) and greater offer of seats of various airlines, we must continue to monitor the behavior of passengers”, said Espitia in its report about the behavior of airports stocks.
