• LEADER: Mexican online sales are expected to grow between 35% and 38% this year -the strongest pace around the world- aided by customers having more trust on ecommerce and an expansion in the use of mobile phones, per estimates by market research company eMarketer.

• COMPANIES: Experts believe that the strength of the Mexican e-commerce market can be traced to strong technology investments of the past two years -by retailers like Walmart and Liverpool- but also thanks to robust competition among giants Amazon, MercadoLibre and even Alibaba.

• UPGRADE: “There’s now a very relevant catalog of products, appropriate payment methods and more qualified logistics …. Most companies understood how e-commerce works and have improved their level of service”, said Pierre Blaise, head of Mexico’s Association for Online Sales (AMVO).

• MARKETS: According to data, Mexican online will end up 2019 with a stronger pace of growth even when compared to robust markets like giants India and China, countries of similar demographics like the Philippines and countries in the same North American neighborhood like Canada.
